Get Started with EvaluACTION
While EvaluACTION is organized by the following steps, you do not necessarily have to follow each component in order.
CDC Framework for Evaluation Steps
CDC framework for evaluation steps cycle graphic represents the steps and standards. The standards are utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy. The steps are "Engage Stakeholders", "Describe the Program", "Focus Evaluation Design", "Gather Credible Evidence", "Justify conclusions", and "Use and Share Lessons Learned".
Effective program evaluation improves and accounts for public health actions through systematic procedures that are useful, feasible, ethical, and accurate.
CDC's Framework for Evaluation in Public Health is a tool designed to summarize and organize essential elements of program evaluation. It encourages a practical approach to evaluation that can be integrated with your routine program operations.
Adhering to the steps and standards (utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy) of this framework will allow you to understand your program’s context and help you develop and conduct effective program evaluations.
